How to find out the group that lobbied for this bill ?
Based on EB recapture provisions in this bill, I strongly believe they have EB2/3 (I/C) folks like us behind this lobbying.
IV can join hands with them and leverage assets jointly. Including call for funding to a larger audience.

Hey Payton.,
Once you receive your DS230 form from the NVC you can find the NVC case number on the bar codded sheet. After you submit your DS230 to NVC using that NVC case number you can dial a number and check the status. Mine after 4 weeks says that NVC has completed the processing and forwarded to the Madras consulate on June 5th. Thats how I came to know.
By the way mine is EB2

I really wish all the desi companies,who get people from India,and put them on bench to find a project ,be banned. They screwed H1B, and in turn all the deserving H1B candidates.

Listening to EB folks is a win-win situation for both this country and the professionals. May be more win situation for the country than professionals.
If using civilized, peaceful, democratic way of asking for right things is crying, then yes, I am a cry-baby because it is better to be such a cry-baby than anti-immigrant, nativist abusers on various forums.

(1) Are these steps taken in a sequence?
(2) Does USCIS update the status of our file so that we know where we are i.e whether our file is stuck FBI Name check or FBI Fingerprint Check, etc..
After receiving your I-485 USCIS conducts the following background Checks:
IBIS - Interagency Border Inspection System name check
FBI - FBI Fingerprint Check
FBI - FBI Name Check
IDENT - Automated Biometric Identification System
Other biometric checks - For some cases, USCIS itself conduct comparisons of photograph, finger prints and signatures stored in paper application with ISRS.
You have to clear all these checks (some of them has expiry as well) when your PD becomes current.
Till then keep renewing your EAD / AP. [I think this is the milking cow for USCIS :) ]

There was no RFE at all . Infact I was following up my case through my congressman's office and we always got responce back from uscis saying it is under "Security review" .
The email says "application denied." if it says RFE , I would not have such a shock .
it was reall gard day for me y'day when I sow that . I was almost on the werge of closing a house deal this month and with this 485 issue , I don' think I want to take the risk of buying the house now.
Though I do have little bit hope if it is because 140 revoke and we can prove the AC21 documents , it will get through .

The OP does not look agitated enough and basically is just telling us "Vinod" used AC21 and got rejected. He is unwilling to give more details in his profile but telling us his name is Vinod.

Lets download .. sign it by many and send it to them and Print it there on BOLD "Change our status and give us our residency soon"...
this way we prove that we are LEGALS and we will create publicity

Which service center processed your I-140 ? For Eb2 cases, USCIS ( especially NSC) doesn't accept a combination of degree and experience. They require a single 4 year degree.
You should not completely give up on this. Get a good lawyer, a good education evaluator and try to save the case.
